skyguide - Pilotenportal

skyguide will roll-out its new integrated briefing solution skybriefing overnight from 18 to 19 November 2013. skybriefing replaces the well-known Homebriefing as the official and legally relevant product for flight preparation in Switzerland. The web application will render official services as well as additional services, for which there will be a charge. skybriefing now has a standard appearance, regardless of whether it is accessed from home or at an aerodrome terminal. The aerodrome infrastructure will be gradually phased out during this system change and will be the aerodrome manager's responsibility in future.

The skybriefing application covers the governmentally imposed basic requirements for flight preparation. It continues to ensure non-discriminatory access and enables connection to the aerodrome infrastructure at an affordable price. The basic requirements of the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and the aerodromes are therefore satisfied. That means skybriefing will now be the officially and legally relevant product for flight preparation in Switzerland and no longer Homebriefing, as was the case until now.
